Arrhythmia Care Without Hospitalization
Cardiac arrhythmias — abnormal heart rhythms — are among the most common reasons patients in nursing facilities and at home are sent to the emergency department. Yet many arrhythmias can be safely evaluated and managed without hospitalization, provided that a qualified cardiovascular specialist is available to assess the patient.
Our mobile cardiology team performs on-site 12-lead EKGs, reviews prior cardiac history and device data, evaluates the hemodynamic stability of the patient, and initiates rate control, rhythm control, or anticoagulation as clinically appropriate — all at the bedside.
For patients requiring telemetry monitoring to capture intermittent arrhythmias, we can also arrange extended cardiac monitoring through our telemetry monitoring program.

We bring clinical-grade 12-lead EKG equipment to the patient's location. For patients with intermittent symptoms, we can also arrange extended Holter or telemetry monitoring to capture rhythm disturbances over longer periods.
Stroke Prevention in AFib
Atrial fibrillation significantly increases stroke risk. We evaluate every AFib patient for anticoagulation eligibility, calculate CHA₂DS₂-VASc and HAS-BLED scores, and initiate or optimize anticoagulation therapy as appropriate.
